Hiperwall alternative — Craft Wall vs Hiperwall

Last updated: 2026-06-03 · Hiperwall · Irvine, USA

Vendor-published comparison. Competitor data sourced from public marketing materials and reseller listings (last verified: 2026-06-03). Corrections welcomed at support@craftwall.pro.

Hiperwall and Craft Wall both reject proprietary hardware controllers in favour of software running on commodity machines. Two practical differences usually decide the bake-off: operating system and licensing model.

What Hiperwall does

Hiperwall is a Windows-based, hardware- agnostic video-wall platform. The 2026 R1 release added on-prem operator chat, Intel GPU support, and moved licensing from USB dongles to online keys. Topology is an explicit fleet of priced SKUs — HiperController as the broker (HC6 controller listed at €1,326.95 / ~$1,440 on Network Hardwares), HiperView UHD nodes per display ($642.65 each on public reseller listings), HiperSource per encoded source ($1,488.62 each), and HiperOperator per workstation. The Essentials starter bundle lists from $9,995.

Where Craft Wall is different

  • Linux-native. No Windows licence per node, no patch-Tuesday reboots cascading through a 24/7 wall, no GPU driver certification dance with NVIDIA's Windows updates.
  • Simpler licensing. One per-canvas fee + a per-source fee. Hiperwall has separate licences for the controller, every viewing node, every source application, and every operator workstation — assembling a 4-display + 12-source + 2-operator wall touches at least four SKUs.
  • Built-in browser control. Operators don't need a HiperOperator workstation install — any browser is the client.
  • Self-healing sources. Built into the ingest pipeline.

When Hiperwall is the better fit

Existing all-Windows estate where the IT team has standardised tooling, patching, and AD policies. US-based deployments where Hiperwall's HiperCare support contract is already on a preferred-vendor list.

When Craft Wall is the better fit

Linux estates, RU/CIS deployments needing Минцифры registry status, projects where the per-application licensing structure of Hiperwall introduces unpredictable cost as sources scale, or any room where Windows reboot cycles are unacceptable.
